TOKYO GARDEN PERFORMANCE ARCHIVE LIST - 2014

SAT FEB 22  MANIFEST DESTINY: A Tribute to The Dictators                                                                  $5  | 21+ | 9:30PM

They don’t play often, but when they do Manifest Destiny prefers to play a blistering set of old-school 70’s proto-punk from The Dictators.

No opening act. No breaks. Hit the lights, turn it up and power through. 16 songs. All under 5 minutes. BAM!

This is the way bands used to play... you may have trouble talking over this band while you sip on a Singapore Sling.

Don’t say we didn’t warn ya.

Its hard to classify a genre with I Do Not Exist; they range everywhere from swamp rock to surf grime, abstract jazzy to beat poetry. They've been described as The Doors little sister, as well as compared to The Zombies, The Animals, Janis Joplin or the Black Keys with a female vocalist. That haunting 60's 70's sound is what they're about, but come judge for yourself!

Babes is from Southern California and signed to Harvest Records. They have made it known that “we play love songs because we feel bad and it makes us feel good.”
